Philadelphia employment attorneys of Sidney L. Gold & Associates represent a former Philadelphia paramedic in a civil whistleblower lawsuit.  The plaintiff in the whistleblower case claims that her employer, a private emergency services company located in Philadelphia, is in violation of Pennsylvania’s state whistleblower laws.

In the fall of 2013, the female paramedic arrived to work and determined that her partner was under the influence of alcohol.  She reported this to her manager who disregarded her complaint and sent them to work.  This put them and others in harm’s way as the partner was scheduled to drive.  After a near collision on the roadway, the paramedic contacted her manager again and was told to return to headquarters.  The partner paramedic in question tested positive for alcohol.

Subsequently, the female worker filed a complaint with the county department of health due to the sequence of events.  It is her position that as a result her manager and a member of the human resources staff asked her to resign.  When she refused, she was subjected to further retaliatory actions by her employer over the course of several months.  Ultimately she was terminated from her employment.
