Former Assistant Accuses Robert DeNiro of Harassment, Discrimination

A former assistant accused actor Robert DeNiro of sexual harassment and gender discrimination in a recently filed suit. In 2008, DeNiro hired the woman to act as his assistant. She claims that he subjected her to lewd comments, verbal abuse, physical misconduct, gender-based harassment, and assigned her stereotypically female tasks. Initially, Robert DeNiro filed a suit against the former assistant in August, alleging that she misused the company credit card and spent a four-day stretch watching television during work hours. She further alleges that the suit filed by DeNiro is a form of workplace retaliation.
