Sid, the firm’s principal shareholder, received his Juris Doctor from Temple University School of Law in 1975. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York, before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second, Third, and Fourth Circuits, the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Through his extensive experience in all aspects of employment law, Sid has been successfully representing both employees and employers in complex litigations cases throughout the United States for decades. This includes multiple claims under federal and state anti-discrimination laws and federal civil rights laws.
Each consecutive year since 2004, Sid has been selected to the Super Lawyers lists, including being recognized by Philadelphia Magazine’s Super Lawyers in the area of employment law. These accolades are among the many awards Sid has received throughout his career, including recognition by Best Lawyers in America in the area of employment law, and obtaining the highest rating of distinction by the Martindale-Hubbell Bar Register for 15 consecutive years.
Sid has also been selected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, and legal scholars whose public and private careers have depicted outstanding dedication to the welfare of their communities and the highest principles of the legal profession. Additionally, he is the founding member of the Third Circuit Court of Appeal Bar Association.
For the last seven years, Sid has been co-chair of the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, having served as Vice Chair of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association as well. He is a member of the Professional Guidance Committee, the Federal Courts Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Labor and Employment Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Faculty and Planning Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Employment Law Institute.
Sid has many years of experience counseling both private sector and public sector employers in employment and civil rights matters. He has written extensively on issues of employment discrimination and authored multiple articles for the Legal Intelligencer and Pennsylvania Law Weekly. Sid has also lectured on employment law for the Philadelphia Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. Well-established as the preeminent Pennsylvania employment lawyer, Sid is often asked to appear on local news broadcasts to discuss the current employment law topics of interest.
