A 70 year old Columbia County woman was employed by Berwick Offray from 1989 until May 2014 and worked as a packer and machine operator. She was terminated suddenly on May 14, 2014 and asserts the company did not follow standard dismissal procedures.
In her wrongful termination lawsuit, it alleges that the employee was among the oldest on staff and was subjected to differential treatment because of her age. The suit claims that Berwick Offray did not subject younger employees to the same termination consequence as Yaple for similar errors in workplace procedures.
Philadelphia age discrimination lawyer, Sidney L. Gold, of Sidney L. Gold & Associates represents the ex-employee in her claim. Yaple indicates that the experience has caused her emotional distress, embarrassment, humiliation and loss of self-esteem and enjoyment of life. Attorney Gold is pursuing back and front pay, punitive and compensatory damages, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney and expert witness fees and court costs on his client’s behalf.
