Sidney L. Gold of The Gold Law Firm P.C. was recently quoted on air by NBC Philadelphia during their coverage of the recent harassment allegations faced by the Philadelphia 76ers dance team. A former Sixers dancer claimed that during her three seasons on the dance team, her fellow teammates frequently harassed and bullied her.
She goes on to state that her colleagues often made fun of her black features and sent videos threatening her safety. She alleged that she was racially targeted during her entire dance career with the Sixers and recently went public with the allegations on her Instagram page. She also claimed that she went to her coach and the Sixers organization for help, but nothing was done to remedy the situation or provide punishment to her harassers.
The 76ers organization released a statement regarding the ongoing investigation but no legal action has been made regarding the case. Sidney L.
