Two male models accused lauded fashion photographer Bruce Weber of sexual harassment, which he vehemently denies. Both incidents took place during two separate photo shoots when the photographer encouraged each model to engage in inappropriate physical contact. During a photo shoot in 2014, one of the male models, who filed a lawsuit against the photographer in December 2017, claims that Weber questioned how ambitious he really was while the alleged actions occurred. The other model, who made similar claims against Bruce Weber in 2005, did not become involved in the suit because he believed his allegations were too old.
Any gender may be vulnerable to sexual harassment or misconduct in the workplace whether the perpetrator is of the same or opposite gender. Harassment or discrimination that takes place in a non-traditional situation outside of the business environment like a photo shoot or an office party falls under the same umbrella. It is best to report this type of behavior as soon as possible to ensure that the claim is resolved by the appropriate parties, including the company’s human resources department or a legal professional.
