One of the four celebrity judges from the Fox singing competition show, “The Four,” exited the show after the release of sexual misconduct allegations against him. Charlie Walk, the President of Republic Records and a judge on the show, will not be part of the finale. Once a former colleague exposed the harassment, Charlie Walk decided to leave the show. While the victim worked with him at Columbia Records, she claims she endured unwanted sexual advances, inappropriate physical contact, and lewd comments from him. After the disclosure earlier this week, he was suspended from his job, and an investigation began.
Since sexual harassment and misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein swept the media, daily accounts in numerous industries have solidified the claims against him and others. Sexual harassment can occur between colleagues, a superior and subordinate, and even between an employee and outside vendor. Victims and co-workers may experience tension at the workplace and a drop in morale and productivity due to the toxic behavior.
